Jorge (pronounced like George) is a New Jersey-based illustrator that enjoys book illustration, editorial illustration and the combination of illustration and typography. Hallmarks of his work include graphic, yet painterly shapes, dramatic color relationships, and themes that are classic and contemporary.
In 2017, he received his B.F.A. in Illustration and Animation from Montclair State University, and has since continued to be highly influenced by Severino Baraldi, Eyvind Earle, Al Hirschfeld, and Edward Hopper.
Jorge currently works as a graphic designer for a nonprofit and has also worked as an art director for a children’s newspaper.
